Richard Dolan (b. July 1 1962) is a leading researcher in the field of UFOs. After postgraduate research into the history of the Cold War he came across a copy of Timothy Good's "Above Top Secret" which mentioned many figures he knew from his studies, but in a radically different context: a context which he knew nothing about. This discrepancy led him to research the subject and his first book, UFOs and the National Security State: Chronology of a Cover-up 1941-1973 was published in 2000. Its success helped to propel Dolan to the forefront of the field, and he has since contributed to many documentaries on the subject, hosted his own radio show and been a guest on many others, and expanded his publishing enterprise to accommodate other authors.
